Hi, I'm Sarah Z!

I found a great extended family when I started at Wolf Merrick back in August of 2003. It’s crazy how fast the years go, especially when you love your job and the people you work with. It’s true that “time flies when you’re having fun”.  This was a major career change for me. I had come from a retail background and had managed for about 10 years. I decided to change career paths after my first daughter was born because retail can be very demanding. I loved it, but there wasn’t enough “mommy and me” time. This change was one that I will never regret. I have always had a love for animals and I thought that it would be a interesting place to work. It was great from minute one. I get to love, play, feed treats to all your “babies”, and help fix the sick ones.  I have to admit, I even want to “steal” a few every so often, so watch out! 

Working here has taught me so much.  I have gained a great deal of knowledge from the doctors here, about animals and their treatments. It has been an extremely rewarding experience. I have made many friends and have fallen in love with so many pets over the years.

When I’m not here, you can find me chasing around my 2 daughters Meghan who is 9, and Jenna who is 1. They keep me pretty busy and I enjoy every minute of it! After all the chasing and housework (we even skip this sometimes, if they give me those eyes) you can bet we are shopping. WE LOVE THE DISNEY STORE! Another hobby we have is scrap booking and taking a ton of pictures.  We recently have had to say good-bye to our beloved Whippet, Deva.  But, we still have our sassy a cat named “Princess”, who is 8 and she does live up to her name.

We always welcome you to stop by for a visit.  So each time your four-legged baby sees us it’s not for an illness, vaccine, or they are in some kind of pain. Our doors are always open for fun visits, and I’m usually here, and I plan to be here until they kick me out!
